It is almost a month in HELP and I realised that I've been learning more effectively there, most notably the science subjects. I recall asking teachers in CHS why is this so and so, but was left disappointed with replies such as "It is not in the SPM syllabus." and "Because it is just so."

Ever wondered where all the formulas you learn in Physics and Mathematics came from? It is all just common sense and derived from some simple equations. The problem is that we were not thought "common sense" in school.

The next thing I would like to share here is pseudo-science (False science).
If you've read my previous entry on quacks and nostrums, you should know that I don't really believe in these so-called "health" products with dubious claims and scientific "fact-tion" (Facts that only exist in Fiction)

My case against these "Ducks" is that they are robbing the desperate and health-concious. Maybe it is justifiable that giving these "Ducky brand" products a go is better than not trying at all.

Unfortunately, in reality this doesn't really happen all the time. Certain "Detox" or "Cleansing" methods adapted from ancient methodological practises are deemed dangerous and can even cause death in certain individuals.
