I have an important examinations to handle, so please be patient and wait and see whether I manage to come up with something worth reading then.
Sometimes I refuse to believe in limitations, any result which is below the 100% mark is not supposed to be acceptable. This is crazy, but the world is crazier than that.
Let's take a look at expectations. As humans we tend to expect quite much of others until it can be unreasonable at times. We live in a world of expectations, a world in which people invest their hard-earned cash in expectation of a fruitful profit ; a world where we can come home expect dinner to be served at the rightful time ; a world where we expect others to live up to our expectations.
As I write this entry, I came to a realisation that 'expectation' is probably the fuel that keeps the world functioning the way it is. How can the invisible hand of economics work without the existence of 'expectation'?
Nobody wants to be a disappointment, but some people disappoint to satisfy themselves. Con artists who are backed by the Mafia are good examples, they disappoint people by breaching the trust placed upon them while forcibly extorting hard-earned money from people.
So how would the multitude react if they receive outcomes which are the opposite of their expectations? In general, I feel that the natural human instinct is to 'respond, ravage, and seek revenge'. How could one resist the temptation to inflict harm on those who are responsible to the pain and sufferings of you and your loved ones?
Retaliation brings nothing but more harm. If humans have the in-built defensive nature, who would back down and give in to the other party? The fight would be endless, as this is not a computer game with "Game Over" or "Restart Game".
Sometimes compromising is the best solution.
Never pay back evil with evil, but bear in mind the ideals that all regard with respect.
As much as possible, and to the utmost of your ability, be at peace with everyone.
Never try to get revenge: leave that, my dear friends, to the Retribution. As scripture says: Vengeance is mine -- I will pay them back, the Lord promises.
And more: If your enemy is hungry, give him something to eat; if thirsty, something to drink. By this, you will be heaping red-hot coals on his head.
Do not be mastered by evil, but master evil with good.
Romans 12:17-21
Sometimes the most mundane and insignificant things in life turns out to be the greatest among all.
I've actually typed the above post a week ago but I wasn't in the mood to publish it. I'm posting this up just to keep this blog alive.
Today (technically yesterday) I've experienced a some sort of seamless transition between the real world and dreamland. And the best part is that it was really good. Haha, I'm not promoting escapism but I think this provides the 'driving force' and motivation.
Jason Wade from Lifehouse is a genius, I find his music both musically and lyrically excellent.
Currently listening to: You and Me - Lifehouse
"This clock never seemed so alive"
Time is short. It's now time for more aggressive studying.
See you in dreamland again!
