Birds, Flowers and Cameras

KL Bird Park

Although it's a bird park, there's something fishy about how they display the prices.

I wonder why there are no numericals in the first picture.

Oh... The foreigners can't read Malay.

I was greeted by a happy bird, a good sign.

Looking for fish to eat

Please feed the birds

Saw this bird standing on top of a tree, as proud as a peacock.

Refuses to eat whist being stalked by cameras

!!! It's RED in colour!

Is it real? Yes it is.

It looks so happy :)

Forgot its name, looks really good when the wings are open.

Female peacock?

This parrot is fast...

Do it slowly, else it will fly away.

Fail. The trainer being attacked by the parrot.

Multicolour

Let the picture do the talking...

I think it was doing its big business...

Storks are good at posing

This looks like a Lily but it's not in the Lilium genus

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Translated from Latin: Who will guard the guards themselves?

Will the guards guard themselves when they are told a Noble lie ? Or would they wreck havoc with the powers they believe to posses?

If we were to consider the United Nations Security Council as the peace keeper among nations, then 5 permanent members who have the prerogative to veto are the guardians of the world.

To try the war criminals who are responsible for the atrocities going on in this world, the International Court of Justice was established in the year 2002 by the Rome Statute of the International Court

The Court may only exercise jurisdiction if:

  • The accused is a national of a State Party or a State otherwise accepting the jurisdiction of the Court;

  • The crime took place on the territory of a State Party or a State otherwise accepting the jurisdiction of the Court; or

  • The United Nations Security Council has referred the situation to the Prosecutor, irrespective of the nationality of the accused or the location of the crime.

At a glance, it is apparent that there is a problem. The USA did not accept the jurisdiction of the court (Violating the first condition). Although it is still possible to bring the United States to the ICC by a referral from the United Nations Security Council, it seems to be highly unlikely as the USA has the power to veto.

Other than that, how do we bring Omar al-Bashir to the ICC?

Okay, enough of the "Justice" talk. (I guess that we're all fed up and have heard enough)

Time to study debating.

Oh, and...

Did you know that an authorised ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) personnel can enter and leave the Guantanamo Bay for humanitarian purposes?

However, he/she can't do the same when it comes to our Kamunting Detention Centre (ISA detainees)

Ironic isn't it?

Monkeybrainsoup?

I'm back. With exams off and a 3 week break in place, I need to do something really productive.

It's June, the 6th month of the year. Halfway there.

Hmmm... The month of June,

We remember what happened 20 years ago

And quite recently, our bad neighbour (North Korea) is up to no good again.

We should put rogue leaders in prison.

The above two problems came from communist ruled states. (If you're a government agent who is responsible for detaining persons who promote communism, I am actually showing people how bad it is. Bad luck for you.)

I read The Communist Manifesto last year, I didn't find it interesting at all because I found that the philosophy of Marx and Engels do not echo in my thoughts, unlike Plato's Republic.

I just started reading this book called "Buy-ology" by Martin Lindstrom

According to a research conducted on smokers, the health warnings in the cigarette packs actually stimulated the region in the brain known as nucleus accumbens which is responsible for all our cravings.

A good thought provoking book for FIVE RINGGITS xD (Like how Surfi would say it)

Okay, time to impart the laws of Mathematics to my brother.
